Safe/Sea: Our Company
General information
Safe/Sea is a marine assistance company based in Rhode Island. We provide boat towing, salvage and general assistance to recreational boaters in all Rhode Island waters, including Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island Sound, and Block Island Sound, up to 25 nautical miles south of Block Island. We operate a fleet of six specially designed and custom built rescue towboats that are ready to respond to calls for assistance 24 hours a day. During the summer boating season, we base our vessels in Wickford, Point Judith, and Block Island.
Safe/Sea Membership
In addition to providing fee-for-service boat towing & marine salvage, Safe/Sea offers pre-paid memberships to our towing service, enabling Rhode Island area boaters to receive the highest quality on-the-water service for a low annual membership fee. Nearly 4,000 local boaters belong to our Safe/Sea Membership program which provides free towing and routine assistance to our members when their vessels become disabled. TowBoatU.S. Services
Safe/Sea is the official and exclusive provider of on-the-water towing and assistance services for TowBoatU.S. members in the Rhode Island area. TowBoatU.S. members may call us directly via cell phone at 401-295-8711, through TowBoatU.S. National Dispatch, or via VHF channel 16.
