The Safe/Sea Rescue is usually part of our Narragansett Bay Fleet, but, because she is so easily trailered, she moves around to provide service where it's needed most. She was built in 1996 by Avon Marine for the specific purpose of providing immediate response towing and salvage services in Narragansett Bay and near-coastal waters.

The Safe/Sea Rescue is a rigid-hull inflatable, with a fiberglass lower hull. She's 17 feet long with a 6 foot beam. The Safe/Sea Rescue's powertrain is a 4-stroke Mercury 40 HP outboard with hydraulic steering and electric start.

The Safe/Sea Rescue is usually kept on her trailer and used in good weather conditions when an extra response vessel is needed one or two days a year. Her shallow draft capabilities make her ideal for situations where our bigger boats wouldn't be appropriate.
