Safe/Sea Becomes Lead Sponsor of Ocean State Soccer Competitive Division

Safe/Sea is pleased to announce a three year commitment to be the lead jersey sponsor of the Ocean State Soccer Club's Competitive Division. At right, you can see William & Sarah Andrews, sporting their new club competitive jerseys bearing the Safe/Sea logo and web address on the port side sleeve. Every Ocean State competitive division team plays in the RI Superliga, playing matches in nearly every community in the state.  Safe/Sea owner Capt. Pete Andrews' kids have played at Ocean State Soccer for many years and we are proud to be affiliated with their fine organization.

Ocean State Soccer School (OSSS) was founded in 1983 for the purpose of teaching young athletes how to play the game of soccer in a non-competitive and fun environment. OSSS is run entirely by volunteers who donate their time to participate on the Board of Directors, coach the children, teach referee skills, run the concession stand, and maintain the fields, along with all of the administrative aspects of operating a league. This philosophy of fairness and fun for all youths has been a huge success as evidenced by OSSS's strong growth. Ocean State has grown from less than 60 players in 1983 to as many as 1000+ children spread amongst 90+ teams per season in the last several years.
