UPDATED - Major Building Fire at New England Boatworks

Safe/Sea has learned through monitoring of VHF radio traffic that there is a major building fire at New England Boatworks in the Melville section of Portsmouth. The fire was significant enough to go to 4 alarms and require mutual aid from surrounding towns. It is reportedly under control at the time of this report.

1029 Update - A phone report indicates that the buildings involved are on the southern end of the marina property, towards the fuel dock. According to the marina map, this group of buildings includes the "Composites" shop, and according to radio traffic, there is some concern about the potential involvement of chemicals stored there. You can download the marina site plan below to get an idea of where the fire is on the property.
