The Other Abilities of Safe/Sea

Safe/Sea is known mainly for towing broken down boats in, out, and around Rhode Island waters. For this task, we have six custom-built RIBs always ready to render assistance. Aside from our six state-of-the-art vessels however, we also have many other pieces of support equipment. From vehicles that can be used as mobile command centers, to trailers full of salvage gear, Safe/Sea has the extensive equipment and knowledge to carry out many other operations.
Mobile Command Centers
At any given time, at least two of Safe/Sea’s fleet vehicles can be turned into a mobile command center. With power inverters, laptop computers, and the same communications equipment found in our dispatch centers and boats, Safe/Sea can turn an SUV into a mobile response center in the event of a large storm or other need.
Extensive Equipment
Along with its high-tech fleet of Quick Response Vessels, fully staffed response center, and fleet of vehicles, Safe/Sea maintains an extensive list of equipment. Spread among our vessels, our vehicles, our mobile trailers, and our storage facilities, Safe/Sea maintains equipment including, but not limited to, dewatering pumps, float bags, hull straps, additional tow line, SCUBA gear, and generators.
What This All Means for a Boater
With all this gear and know-how, Safe/Sea is able to assist the boating public beyond the normal tows people think of when they see us. Safe/Sea is also able to assist boats that have run aground, broken free, overturned, sunk, or almost any other situation. If you ever find yourself in one of these situations, please remember that Safe/Sea is there to assist you.
