About the Author, Andrew W. Anderson
Andrew W. Anderson joined the firm of Keller & Houck in 1996, after seven years in private practice and more than 20 years of active duty (including 8 years of sea duty) with the United States Coast Guard, retiring with the rank of Commander. He is board certified by the Florida Bar in the area of admiralty and maritime law and is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami teaching marine insurance and admiralty law. Mr. Anderson has been a frequent speaker at admiralty and maritime law seminars, including SEALI (1990,1993), Fort Lauderdale Mariner's Club Marine Seminar (1993), Florida Bar Admiralty Law Committee Seminars (1994, 1995, 1996) and the Miami Marine Council Seminars ( 1994, 1995).
Mr. Anderson has authored many published articles on maritime law subjects, including;
He has served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida 1982-1985, and as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida in 1989.
