Free Action Boat Photo Program Update
Safe/Sea is pleased to announce that this season's Free Action Boat Photo dates have been set! Two shoots are scheduled this year. The first, on June 17th from 1000 to 1400 hours, while the second in Point Judith will be on August 19th from 1000 to 1400.
Here’s how it will work; Safe/Sea Photographer Cindy Wilson will take your pictures using a professional level digital camera purchased by Safe/Sea for this program. Safe/Sea Webmaster Nick LeBlanc will immediately download the pictures from the camera and create webpages containing your photos on our website. From this page you will be able to view, download and order prints of any of your pictures that you wish.
This digital, streamlined system should result in faster availability of your pictures, less workload for our staff, and continued low pricing for prints! Since this program has gone digital, we have seen a 200% increase in the reprint orders over previous years.
When you consider that it would cost upwards of $150.00 an hour just for a professional photographer to take pictures of your boat, not including the cost of buying the prints, you can see what a great Safe/Sea Member - only benefit this is! We strongly urge all of our members to take advantage of this Safe/Sea exclusive benefit.
To get your picture taken, simply proceed to the area of the photo shoot and call the Safe/Sea Photo Boat on VHF radio channel 18A. You will receive instructions from us over the radio. Please don't call for photo instructions on Channel 16.
Each order will carry a flat shipping fee of $3.99, regardless of the number of prints ordered. Rhode Island Sales tax of 7% will be added to every order as well.
Every year, the Free Action Boat Photo Program is one of our most popular member benefits. Don’t miss out!
